The WHAT and the WHY

My mission is to help you define the WHAT and WHY behind your WORK so you can talk about it brilliantly - to be both interestED and interestING.

The goal here is to help you see that what you do - your WORK - belongs to you not your employer (or anyone else).

This is huge.

I see so many insanely talented women end up questioning their value because they never got clear on what and why they do this work. All power goes to the company/corporation/agency. And god forbid, you get laid off.

Take a breath. Pause. Time out.

👉 Your career - and your employer - is not your work - your career and your employer SUPPORT your work.

What is the work you do? And why do you do it? And what do you get out of it aside from money?

⚡ Look for light between you and your company.

⚡ Practice reducing the number of times you say “we” when it’s really "I".

"I do X."

"X fascinates me because..."

Find juicy, honest language to talk about it.

Juicy honesty feels good, and, man, is it INTERESTING!

Note: Thank you to Andrew Simonet's brilliant book, "Making your life as an Artist". It's powerful for even us not-artists.
