Nothing to hide & nothing to prove...
A friend of mine gave me that phrase and it stuck with me.
As someone who comes from a long line of "hiders" and "provers", I know the anxiety caused by this mindset.
What would it look like to approach work without it? It’s both bold and humble.
How much more curious would you be to learn what you don’t know?
How much freer to listen to your clients and colleagues?
Having spent much of my career coaching executives on pitching new business, I’ve seen the benefits of simple techniques for building confidence and openness. The resulting presence – like having nothing to hide and nothing to prove – has the very positive effect of making you more likable and someone others really want to work with.
And that’s not a bad thing for those of us on the front lines pitching new business.
